Steven Gerrard scared the whole England when he left the field limping during training in Austria, before taking part in the World Cup in South Africa.
During a training session, Liverpool’s captain injured himself after 30 seconds and had to leave. He was taken to the edge of the field, where he was massaged for 20 minutes, but returned on the field for a couple of laps.
Asked by locals if he will be fit for the World Cup, Gerrard gave them thumbs up, signaling that everything is alright.
Gerrad’s teammate, Glen Johnson, missed yesterday’s training, because of an injury during the victory against Mexico, score 3-1, game that took place Monday. Stephen Warnock from Aston Villa wasn’t feeling well either, and din;t train yesterday, but he is expected to play for the World Cup.
England is part of Group G, along with Algeria, USA and Slovenia. England will play a friendly game with Japan at Graz.
