Gattuso AC Milan's midfielder, Gennaro Gattuso, announced on Saturday, during Italy's training camp in South Africa, that he will retire from the first representative at the final tour of the World Cup this year. “I'm 32 years old and considering my game position, I think that I should leave my place for someone with a lot more fuel. Yes, I am retiring from the national team at the end of this World Cup, to leave space for the younger players. After that, my dream was to one day get to the World Cup as Italy's coach”, stated Gattuso. Gattuso is the second player of Italy's representative team, who was world champion in 2006, who announces his retirement after the World Cup, the first being captain Fabio Cannavaro. Italy's team is playing in the F Group of the World Cup, along with the teams from New Zealand, Slovakia and Paraguay. Italy will first star in the World Cup on the 14th of June, with Paraguay.
