More trouble to come for Adrian Mutu

Published: October 23, 2010

Romanian stricker Adrian Mutu is again in trouble as he was involved in a fight with a Serbian waiter on the 23rd of October, after partying in a club from Firenze. It seems that after drinking with a couple of friends, the waiter asked him to pay for the bill before leaving, when Adrian Mutu started to hit him until he broke his nose. More, Mutu continued to hit the waiter with his legs even after the employee felt down. In the end, an ambulance took the waiter to the hospital, where it seems he will remain for the next 25 days, which means that according to the Italian law, Mutu may well end up in jail. Fiorentina’s fans seem to have enough of him, as they have expressed their disgrace for what happened, many saying that the Romanian striker should leave Fiorentina. More, a part of them ask for him to end up in prison for what he did. Adrian Mutu was always a controversial player and got suspended twice during his career for using drugs. First, it was in 2004 when he was caught by Jose Mourinho to use cocaine and ended up being both suspended for 6 months and being fired by Chelsea. The second time happened this year, on the 29th of January, when a routine drug test revealed that he was using Sibutramine –a substitute of cocaine - and got suspended for 9 months. He was expected to come back on the pitch next Saturday.
